His commercially most successful films have been Pirates of the Caribbean film series which grossed US$ 3,727 million, Alice in Wonderland which grossed US$ 1,024 million, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory which grossed US$ 474 million and The Tourist which grossed US$ 278 million worldwide.He was twice named as the "Sexiest Man Alive" by People magazine in 2003 and 2009.
